IIAM has a two-fold mission.

First, we honor the wishes of donors and donor families.  IIAM also helps save and improve lives by supporting medical research.  In the intensive world of providing non-transplanted, viable human organs and tissues for medical research, IIAM fulfills a highly focused, highly specialized niche in the research community.

In this high paced world, some of the best summaries of IIAM’s work come from the researchers IIAM support.  Below are just a few but look out each Newsletter for more comments from your colleagues.
“The IIAM Team was an invaluable partner for our business.  I never felt like a Customer to IIAM, I felt like a partner.  So many things have changed in the past 30 years, but not the Partnership.  Whenever I  have a question, thought, or issue, I can call anytime and get someone to chat with me.  Congratulations to the IIAM Team on its 40th Anniversary.

But IIAM’s mission is two-fold, as we also honor the donor and their families.

Working with our valued Organ Procurement Organizations to provide these gifts to researchers, we help extend the OPO’s missions of donation. Here is what one of our OPO partners said about IIAM:

“Working directly with IIAM over the past several years, particularly since I assumed the lead role with our research partners, has been a truly phenomenal experience. Mike is consistently just a phone call or text away—always available to provide support, answer questions, or assist with real-time escalation when needed.

IIAM has gone above and beyond in supporting our team by providing education and hands-on training to recover organs for research, significantly expanding opportunities to place organs for research when transplant is not possible. Our team also deeply values the family letters IIAM provides, which serve as a meaningful reminder of the impact of donation beyond transplantation.

While transplant is always the primary goal, it is important to recognize the powerful, life-saving role medical research plays. Our relationship with IIAM has never felt transactional; rather, it is a true partnership rooted in shared commitment to the greater good. We look forward to the continued growth of this partnership and the lasting impact we can make together in the communities we serve.”
