Spotlight on IIAM – Lily Mathe

Lily Mathe, Supervisor of Organ Placement at IIAM
This month, IIAM is spotlighting our own Lily Mathe. Lily is IIAM’s Supervisor of Organ Placement, a critical role at the organization. Who better to get the scoop on Lily than her manager and friend, Steve Sherer, Manager-IIAM, for some insight to Lily and her role at IIAM.
“Lily Mathe’ came to IIAM in 2008, nine years before me. She was one of the first new people I met at IIAM. Since she reported to me and supervised the OPC team, we spent a lot of time speaking on the phone right from the start. I quickly learned that Lily was friendly, easy to speak with, and a very hard worker. She has high expectations for those who report to her, but at the same time is one of the fairest people I have met when it comes to how we treat our team.
As Supervisor, Lily is responsible for overseeing our Organ Placement Coordinator team. This means overseeing scheduling, training, incident management and follow up, payroll, and many other duties. Lily is always first to offer help when there are challenges and is dependable in her work. She supports our mission every day by keeping tabs on all of the underpinnings that allow our team to do their vital work, including keeping a pulse on the team members themselves.
Lily lives in Georgia with her husband Jason. She is blessed to be living near her daughter, Emilie who has grown up over Lily’s time at IIAM. Emily is now a Police Officer and is making her mother proud each day!
I am grateful both personally and for IIAM that Lily is part of our team. She is my coworker and friend and has a great personality that makes challenging days, far better.”
